PEEK grades, one page each
Five grades cover almost every machined PEEK part. Each page gives the numbers, the cases where the grade wins, the cases where it is the wrong answer, and what a shop prices differently because of it.
- Grade
Unfilled PEEK, the grade that takes the steam
Natural or black PEEK with no reinforcement. The toughest grade, the one that survives repeated autoclave cycles, and the one that moves most with temperature.
- Grade
PEEK GF30, stiffness and creep resistance while hot
30% short glass fibre raises stiffness and creep resistance at temperature while keeping the part electrically insulating. What it costs in toughness and tool life.
- Grade
PEEK CF30, the grade that holds a dimension
Carbon fibre gives the stiffest common grade, half the thermal expansion of unfilled PEEK, four times the thermal conductivity and enough conductivity to bleed off static.
- Grade
Bearing grade PEEK, for parts that slide dry
PEEK blended with carbon fibre, PTFE and graphite. The lowest friction and best dry wear of the family, and the weakest mechanically, so it is a surface material.
- Grade
Implant grade PEEK, the same polymer with a paper trail
Stock supplied for long term body contact under ASTM F2026, with lot traceability and documented biocompatibility testing. Mechanically it behaves like unfilled PEEK.
Comparing PEEK with another material instead? That is the comparison cluster. The full property matrix is on the data page.
