What helps a PEEK quote

  • GradeUnfilled, GF30, CF30, bearing grade or implant grade. Not sure? Give the temperature, load and media instead.
  • Service temperatureContinuous and peak. A fit that has to hold at 200 °C is a different part from one that only has to fit cold.
  • Thin walls and deep boresSay where they are. They decide whether the part needs a stress relief cycle between roughing and finishing.
  • Contact and mediaSteam, solvents, body contact or food contact. This decides the stock and the documents.
  • DocumentsLot certificate, ISO 10993 or USP Class VI data, ASTM F2026 implant grade stock, cleanroom packing.
  • Stock you already holdIf you supply the material, say the form and size. It changes the quote a lot.
